Standing leg swing

The standing leg swing is a dynamic stretching exercise that involves moving one leg up in front of you, as if to punt an imaginary football. This is a classic move for warming up the body and stretching the hamstrings.

Directions:

  1. Stand next to a chair or other support, holding on with one hand.
  2. Swing your leg forward, keeping the leg straight. Continue with a downward swing, bringing the leg as far back as your flexibility allows. Repeat 5-10 times, and then switch legs.
